Just a Few Conversational Life Hacks

Let’s start with what the heck is Life Hacking anyway? Life hacking is basically any trick, skill, shortcut, or novelty method that increases productivity and efficiency, in every walk of life…

So, let me give you a list of some of the best conversational life hacks I’ve seen over the years below.

Always live below your means. There are so many books, blogs and sites that detail this for everyone to be able to go about living below your means. One of the better books on this is Mr. Money Mustache.

Books are not gone just because we have the internet now. Get to know your local library. There are millions of materials, tools, talks, and services, generally available at no cost to you. Think about it, you can find anything about everything which makes it impossible for one to not learn to accomplish whatever they want. Some libraries even check out tools. Libraries have an incredible amount of information and opportunities to offer for free.

How about riding a bike. No need for a gym membership. Saving money on fuel and helping the environment. You will probably love it and see your neighborhood in a different light seeing that you are not driving.

Start talking to people. You’ll find out that a lot of people love to talk about themselves and what they do. People are amazing, finding out about what they have done or what they do, is interesting. You might learn something. If you’re in a city you don’t know, ask about people’s favorite restaurants or coffee shops. Or better yet, when looking for a job, start networking by talking to people everywhere. You just never know who you are talking to.
I love this one and that is stop reading the newspaper, and watching the news every day. Seriously, what is on the news most of the time and in the newspapers? Urgent crisis, death, all the problems of the world, absolutely nothing useful. Think about it this way, what will you lose if you don’t watch the news or read the newspapers daily? Answer is not a darn thing. In fact, you will have much more time to read education, self-help, fiction or any type of books that will actually impact your life in a positive meaningful way.

Take a book everywhere you go. So many of us complain that we don’t have any time to read. Really? Read more books by taking a book with you everywhere you go on a daily basis.

When having to take a bus, take your book.
Have a doctor’s appointment? Take your book.
Any type of appointment that you know you’re going to have to wait, take your book.

It’s such a great escape to get into your book while waiting for whatever. This will help you not get impatient also. You’ll be less stressed and maybe learn a few things.
